Church by the Glades has got a series of “sermons” based on… Halloween. Or vampires… or Haunted Houses… or something like that.
Here’s the song that kicks off their series Escaping a Haunted Mansion:
“Beloved, do not imitate evil but imitate good. Whoever does good is from God; whoever does evil has not seen God.”
Is it any surprise that this ridiculous "pastor" completely mishandles the Word of God? Is it any surprise that he gives a totally Law-based motivational speech that tries to manipulate his audience into doing more?

Do you go to Sunday worship service to be sensually seduced? By a female singer dressed kinda like a witch? During a special "sermon series" about Harry Potter?? Church by the Glades has earned their way onto the Museum of Idolatry yet again. Their opener I Put a Spell on You with a Harry Potter theme has a sensual seductive tone.
Sensually scampering down the catwalk.
Sensual shoulder shimmies with webbed cleavage. This woman is obviously made up and dressed to look like a witch (or something like that) as she sings "I put a spell on you." Is this really a good idea for a church service??
Jesus told us to ask not to be lead into temptation, but Church by the Glades seems to think differently. Jesus told us not to imitate the world, but Church by the Glades does it each and every Sunday.
“It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God.”
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Star Wars; and an opening skit with two people portraying Chewbacca and Princess Leia. What were these people thinking??

Because "spies are cool," and because men might show up at church more often if they talk about James Bond and pretend to be in one of his movies, Church by the Glades has done this:
So this church service is not focused on Jesus, but is more of a "marriage enrichment" session. And if that weren't a big enough distraction from the Gospel, they have this strange obsession with the fictitious character of James Bond, who is a "really cool" womanizer/adulterer.
“For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.”
