Biblical Social Justice

Poor Chinese In Matthew 19:16-26, Jesus seems to have a stern admonishment for wealthy people:  “Truly I say to you, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.   Again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

But does this verse really say something crucial about the state of our hearts, and about serving the needs of the neediest among us?  Today we're looking at many verses that show us what Jesus asks of us, the true social justice the Bible speaks of, verses how we as fallen people have distorted it for a different agenda. What is the proper role of the Government and the Church in providing resources to meet needs?  Our guest is political writer Robert Meyer. You can check out his Renew America articles here.
